Significant advantages in improving safety with a 3D digital twin
According to the international ILO (international labour organisation), 340 occupational accidents and 160 million victims of work-related illnesses occur annually.
“The digital twin offers significant advantages in improving safety – seeing all work permits and their locations at a glance. In addition, all safety alarms related to the machine line, department, or in some cases, the entire factory site can be seen for the selected time”, says Tanninen.
With the help of the overall view provided by the digital twin, it is also possible to see the number of maintenance events for a selected period in some places. “No other different systems are needed”, Tanninen describes.
